We should all remember that whoever occupies the White House instantly has in his hand the greatest sword or hammer of war this world has ever seen. Will President Obama use this sword to convince the Russians and Islamic radicals to join him at the peace table? He has already threatened to send more forces into Afghanistan to win the battle against the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden. Is President Obama the real-life Jack Bauer or James Bond, having a sword in one hand and a olive branch in the other, who is coming to restore order and establish the peace of the promised Kingdom of God on the Earth? As you consider your answer please consider these other relevant and interrelated questions:

(1) What does the future hold for Fundamentalists of all religions now that Obama is the leader of the Western world?

(2) Will there be more war or compromise and peace?

(3) Are aliens or angels real? Is someone or thing “out there” in the heavens? If so, do they have anything to do with the wars raging in the Middle East?

(4) Will Israeli and American tanks have to roll into Damascus and Tehran respectively, to keep them from obtaining nuclear weapons? Or will Iran and Syria make peace with Israel? Does there need to be regime changes in these two nations first?

(5) Will Russia and America work together for peace in the Holy Land or does the Russian invasion of Georgia signal a new cold war? Will the Pope help? Will Mary, the mother of Jesus, help as well?

(6) Can the Jews and Muslims share the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, allowing for the rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple right next to the infamous Dome of the Rock mosque?

(7) What do communism, fascism, monarchies, theocracies, democracies, and republics all have in common? How are Christians suppose to relate and react to the men in charge of these various forms of civil government?

(8) Will the coming infamous peacemaking Antichrist be a Jew, a Muslim, a New Ager, a Christian, a Bonesman, or a member of the Freemasons? Could he be an American President who unites all of these different factions together?

(9) Is the second coming of Jesus to the Earth a spiritual or bodily return? {Note: it is surely BOTH}

(10) And finally, are Christians counted as sheep for the slaughter or militant soldiers of the sword? Are they to be lambs or lions in this life and world?

In conclusion, it is important for all Christians who rightly oppose and expose the abortion, homosexual, and religious "dominion"policies of Barack Obama to remember that our Lord Jesus Christ wants us to respect, honor, pay tribute, love, and pray for this newly elected President. As Paul and Peter both wrote in the New Testament we are to "honor the king" no matter what his beliefs and practices happen to be. For Barack Obama and his family are still people for whom our Lord Jesus shed his blood. It is true that he, like President Bush before him, is following "another" Jesus and a different gospel which diminishes the truth that Jesus Christ is the "only" way to receive eternal life. Because he claims to be a Christian brother it is our obligation to help him see the truth, just as we want our own eyes opened by others when we become deceived at times. It is true that Americans electing a man who supports women who want to kill their unborn babies, and who supports the homosexual lifestyle and the legalizing of their union, is a sign that the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah ruling in Washington D.C is about to be confronted by the judgment and wrath of God.

CONSIDER THE FACTS: An Essay on The Incomparable, Glorious Christ: Messiah, Saviour, and King of all kings . . .

More than nineteen hundred years ago, there was a Man born contrary to the laws of life. This Man lived in poverty and was reared in obscurity. He did not travel extensively. Only once did He cross the boundary of the country in which He lived; - that was during His exile in childhood.

He possessed neither wealth nor influence. His relatives were inconspicuous, having neither training nor formal education.

In infancy He startled a king who pursued Him in fear; in childhood He puzzled doctors and wisemen with His knowledge and amazing wisdom; in manhood He put to open shame the evil and hypocrisy of His day.

Incredibly, He lived a scant 33 years before dying a horrible, agonizing, public execution, condemned and forsaken as a fraud and a rebel.

He never wrote a book, yet all the libraries of the county could not hold the books that have been written about Him. He never wrote a song, yet He has furnished the theme for more songs and symphonies than all others combined. He never founded a college, but all the schools put together cannot boast of having as many students. He never marshaled an army, drafted a soldier, or fired a gun; and yet no leader, living or dead, ever had more devoted volunteers, or conquerored more enemy territory than this one Man.

Once a week the wheels of commerce cease their turning and vast multitudes wend their way to worshipping assemblies to pay hommage and respect to Him. In fact, to this very day most of the civilized world divides History into two distinct periods of time: before and after the appearance of this Man.

Truly, the names and rememberance of many past, proud statesmen of Greece, Rome, and other empires have come and gone. The names of many scientists, philosophers, and theologians have all come and gone. But the name of this Man abounds more and more. Though time has spread nineteen hundred years between the people of this generation and the scene of His crucifixion: yet does He still live. Herod could not destroy Him, the grave could not hold Him, the full fury of hell itself could not prevail against Him.

Today He stands forth upon the very highest pinnacle of Divine Glory:

Exalted by God, acknowledged by angels,

feared by demons, and adored by countless saints as

The Eternal, Everlasting Saviour,

The Lord Jesus Christ, King, Creator, Sustainer,

“DECEIVED ON PURPOSE.” – Is there an agenda to bring New Age deceptions into the Evangelical Churches?
A Book Review and Critical Overview of the Issues…

Of all the subtle deceptions that satan uses to deceive and mislead people in the world and in the churches, none is more subtle (or dangerous) as the humanistic “New Age” philosophy and religions of today. How wonderful and logical it all seems on the outside; yet how fully and utterly antichrist and anti-Christian it is all just beneath the surface. … take a closer look …
Grabbling mightily with these very issues, former New Ager and author, Warren Smith, writes two fine books that sheds much light on the new age agenda that is infiltrating the churches throughout America and much of the Western world as well. His first book was called, THE LIGHT THAT WAS DARK, and chronicles the spiritual journey of himself and his wife as they learn what real spiritual warfare is over the souls of men and women in the context of the supernatural and the many new age religions scattered throughout America. His second (and even more important) book is titled, DECEIVED ON PURPOSE, and is a well researched indictment of just how definite and unmistakable New Age ideas and philosophies have crept into MANY mainline and evangelical churches today. Believe me: this book is a real eye-opener.

Being very cognizant of new age buzz words and concepts, Smith, after becoming a convert to historic and biblical Christianity, could very easily discern a hidden agenda on the part of bestselling author and pastor, Rick Warren, who it turns out is a disciple of the heavily new age influenced, Dr. Robert Schuller and his worldwide “Hour of Power” television ministry. Knowing that many evangelicals outright reject many of the teachings of Robert Schuller, Rick Warren picks up the teachings of one of his major mentors [Schuller] in a somewhat new mode and then gives them a “more Christianized” fresh-face approach in an effort to make these ideas and concepts more acceptable to the evangelical communities at large. Well, did Warren succeed in this subtle deceit? Yes. Enormously so, … and he also made a fortune and built a hugely influencial ministry in propogating these “new and fresh ideas.” … and WHAT ARE? these “new and fresh” ideas and approaches to ministry and the Gospel? . . .

We find out in the book, Deceived on Purpose, that Schuller has been for a long time now very much involved in and often taught new age ideology openly in his church and ministry . One teaching in particular, A Course in Miracles, is completely full of and riddled from top to bottom with new age doctrine. This course teaches what the Bible calls ‘another Jesus,’ - a “Jesus” that is “the Christ” in everyone. Schuller fully endorses the basic new age ideology that, “God is in everything and everyone.” For example, the Course in Miracles study books and guides (which are also regularly endorsed by people like Oprah Winfrey and other propagators of New Age thinking), teaches in Lesson #29 that it requires the participants to go through their day affirming that “God is everything I see.” Lesson #61 requires participants to repeat over and over the mantra, “I am the light of the world” (no reference is made to the Lord Jesus, the TRUE Light of the world, in this regard, only “the Christ in you”)! Lesson #70 requires participants to say and believe, “My salvation comes from me.” – This, of course, is total heresy and utterly contradictory to both the Gospel and all sound, biblical doctrine and truth. Along with all this, Schuller also has often exposed his television audience and congregation to numerous known new age teachers such as Bernie Siegal, Gerald Jampolsky, and others, presenting them as being tantamount to “Christian believers” in very deceiving and misleading ways.

Why so much emphasis on Schuller? Because if you know all of Schuller’s false teachings and twistings of Biblical truth, you know where Rick Warren gets much of his inspiration and ideas. He was a graduate of Schuller’s Institute and has numerous past connections to his so-called “rethinking of Christianity” agenda. Rick Warren bought into most all of Schuller’s basic ideas and then wrote ‘The PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE,’ - a bestseller that has literally swept thru thousands of churches and ministries worldwide. Are the churches in trouble and in peril? I think, frankly, that would be an understatement.

Another disciple of Schuller, by the way, is Bruce Wilkinson, who wrote the runaway bestseller, ‘The Prayer of Jabez.’ He also uses new age terms and makes them popular and seemingly acceptable within a ‘christian’ context. Words and concepts such as “Enlarge” and “Emmergence” are major new age buzz word which turns a person’s attention to their own agendas instead of seeking God’s plans. Wilkinson has spoken at Saddleback Church for Rick Warren and then later at Schuller’s Crystal Cathedral. What are some of the ideas and doctrines that are being espoused here that are not according to sound, biblical, Christian doctrine and Faith.? – That is what we now want to examine further…

Rick Warren also makes reference to Bernie Siegal in chapter three of his book as Warren Smith further exposes Rick Warren’s clear and unmistakable new age connections. Then, a little later in his commentaries R.Warren adds a confusing, even somewhat insulting twist in interpreting the lives of the patriarch, Job, and Isaiah, the prophet. Just to show how far off base R.Warren often is, Smith quotes from this chapter of the PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE: the quote states that “the lives of Job and Isaiah were without purpose and without God.” Is THAT Truth? Far from it. Their lives were FULL of God’s calling and God’s purposes, but Pastor Rick Warren tells us that “their lives were without purpose and without God.” (!) Yet nothing could be further from the truth.

The author also exposes the use of many new versions of the Bible by Rick Warren in his PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE books and study guides. Sometimes Warren uses a verse from one or another version that seems to be more suited for his interpretation or spin on any particular subject. The version that is clearly the most controversial would be THE MESSAGE Bible. Smith, forinstance, compares the MESSAGE Bible Version and the KJV Bible in their translation of the very well known LORD’s prayer found in the Gospels. This is very interesting because in the Message version, instead of saying “ let Thy Will be done: in earth, as it is in heaven” [as translated in the KJV and many other Bible translations), the MESSAGE has it translated: “as above, so below.” Smith notes that this is (again) a definite new age buzz term and expression that all new agers would immediately identify with. Also exposed is the belittlement of the King James Bible. In fact, Rick Warren tells his readers “to get rid the King James Bible.” This simply makes me want to keep mine above all the others.

Warren Smith encourages his readers “to be Bereans,” - to be careful to verify the truth of ideas and doctrines based upon sound Biblical context. How the people of God need to be and to do just that. Smith continually alerts his readers of the changes in ideology among many of the leaders of evangelical Christianity. As a man who came out of the darkness of great deception and has seen first hand the new age philosophies and religions, he is well informed and able to inform others of just where and how these new age ideas have crept into the Christian community and various ministries. He exposes his readers to numerous new age ideas and concepts that most of the body of Christ are woefully ignorant of, both in terms of what they mean and as to the origins, - which is usually Hindu, Buddhist, occultic, or “New Age.” This book is a MUST READ for many Christians who have simply been entirely naive of these creeping (and often subtle) deceptions.

I must add also that it is certainly no great surprise that this book has been published by a relatively small publishing company (Mountain Streams Press). While it is well-written, well-researched and very convincing, it deals with a subject matter most publishers would, for the most part, simply want to avoid. Despite being confined to small distribution channels, I was gladdened to see that it is now in its third printing. I believe that Warren Smith has many important things to say in this book and that Christians need to evaluate the teachings of Rick Warren and others to see if they are consistent with the Scriptures. "In these times of heightened danger and treacherous deceptions, we must always go to the Lord and look to the Holy Spirit for truth and direction. Christians following deceived leaders will only end up deceived themselves. We must always measure everything carefully by the true Word of God and what is known to be sound doctrine.

In closing, I would like to share my favorite passage in this fine and challenging book that is found on page 147. It seems to sum up the real message of Christ and Christianity very simply, clearly and concisely:"Finally, after all we had been through, I was starting to see that the heart of the gospel is not so much that God helps those who help themselves, but, rather, that God helps those who can't help themselves. It was not in affirming our strength but in recognizing our weakness that we had finally learned to ask the Lord for help. It was His grace, not our own self-sufficiency that had saved the day."

EXAMINATION TIME . . .

A Very Vital Message from my heart to the churches that are being corrupted and deceived at this very moment . . .

Where did it all start? What has happened to true Christianity? Has the real thing been mostly replaced by a counterfeit? Why is so much that is false being accepted in 'the church of man’ today? and has God departed and left them to themselves? I fear for many that might well be true. There has been a series of events that were instigated by men who started to use techniques and methods that have in truth: no scriptural foundation. Insofar as "the falling away from the Faith," we could go as far back as the days of the apostle Paul: he clearly warned that this would be so. But let's just briefly look at the tremendous and catastrophic errors that have been incorporated into the 20th century church and that has left us mostly with a dead, distorted, deceived form of Christianity and religion.
ONE THING COMES TO MIND FIRST: the start of and proliferation of many denominations. Manmade divisions between Christians to keep the church from being one in spirit and truth. Paul wrote about this in 1 Corinthians 3:1-10. Please read it when you have time. Then there is another big problem: those who claim to be Christians too often don’t even read the scriptures but follow only a pastor, a priest, or certain teachers that they hear. They may know a little of the scriptures but not enough to keep them from the deceiver and distortions of sound, saving, BIBLICAL truth. The Roman Catholic church has often aided this lacking within the body of Christ by prohibiting the common people from owning Bibles, killing those who would translate it into the common language of the people and encouraging people to only listen to the teachings and interpretations of the Roman church and its dogmas. So the blind were leading the blind and the people began to fall more and more into the same ditch.
Then came the “heroes” and the crusaders who coined the phrase, “sinners prayer”. These preachers started to use what I call gimmick-techniques to water down the way of receiving a true regeneration experience. They would preach to large crowds and invite them to “receive Jesus.” Many would walk forward and pray "a sinner's prayer". Then they would be spoken to and given the "assurance" that they were eternally “saved”. It’s true that there would be some follow up and some further counselling but many did not receive that benefit nor any kind of real discipleship. Many went on in life thinking they were now “born again” AND THEY WERE NOT. I have heard it said by others that these preachers lead more people to hell than could be numbered. A prayer does not save anyone unless it is from the heart of truth, with repentance and a real commitment to Jesus as SAVIOUR and LORD. This happens in the heart not just by repeating a prayer. Yes, some did get genuinely saved, others were stumbled and deceived and fell away. And all the while the church applauded while more and more deceived, unregenerated people entered the churches in droves. They learned to talk the talk and even some looked real but the heart and spirit was still dead in sin. Did this really happen? It most certainly did! And today we are reaping the fruits of it. The tares are greatly and prolifically sown among the wheat and it seems much of the time that there are more tares than wheat. The tares are also a major influence on ‘the church’ from within. That's the way it’s done. And what will be the end of all this?

Now here’s another point. I just quoted from the KJV Bible. In some writings if I had quoted from other versions of the Bible I would need permission because those versions are copyrighted. A copyrighted Bible is the work of man and not of God. God has free domain on any revelation He gives to man. He doesn’t copyright or charge for His ministry to humanity whether it be music, teaching, seminars, healing, preaching or the scriptures. Ahha! Enter another BIG DECEPTION. Charging for ministry. So now you’re a big name evangelist or singer or teacher and since you have the numbers that follow your ministry, you now write a book and be sure to copyright it and charge full price. Worse! you charge in advance for your concerts or seminars or 'ministry.' ! Then you make full use of the world’s business methods to promote your ministry and make merchandise of the gospel, - your gospel, - which usually has some truth with a hint or mixture of error. Now you become a well respected church authority, a leader of the blind leading the blind. That’s why most people can’t see that selling ministry is against the teaching of scriptures. Oh well, just go on. Do it your way. Do it the world's way and then wonder why there is so much deception in the churches today.
And speaking of doing it the world's way, what ever happened to the music of God and His Church? In days of old the church mostly sang the Psalms. Then came Issac Watts and other hymn writers: but their music was always based on scripture and had words and music that truly edified, encouraged and was always genuine in giving glory to God and His Word. But much of contemporary ‘christian’ music is now so aberrated and carnal and worldly that it literally sounds like the world, looks like the world, ministers to the emotions or soulish side of man and (to anyone who knows scripture), they will know that often even the lyrics are not scriptural or theologically sound. The number 1 popular ‘christian’ song of the ‘christian radio station,’ FEBC, here in Cebu , Phillipines (and in many other parts of the world) was for a long time called, “STUBBORN LOVE’ by Amy Grant. In this song she sings how she is just God’s faithless friend, and how God "embraces the worst in her." Really? This song was #1 for years. "And My people love it so." Thank God the radio station stopped playing it when I called and explained it all and enlightened them in love to the truth. However, now in today's "anything goes" churches it has gotten (in many ways) even worse. They think, "but what can we do? it is what the youth want so never mind what it sounds like or what it says, it’s so popular: play it." "After all, (they reason), these musicians surely must be sincere and they make money on the sale of their overpriced CD's and DVD's." ! And thus the rock musicans are now the leaders in the music of the ‘christian world’ as the blind lead the blind. I guess they just can’t see or hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. I wondered why Jesus often said, ‘Let those with ears, hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ I thought we all had ears. Forgive me if you can’t hear, - then this message isn’t for you. But thank God and the blessed Holy Spirit if you can hear the truth regarding the many corrupted and ungodly forms of ‘christian music’ that is all over the churches and ministries today. Some of them actually sound like they are 'torch-songs' or rock concerts out of a honky-tonk bar.

And now we can go on to the awful fact of men promoted by men and receiving honour from one another. Promoted by big business methods and ‘christian tv,’ by the sales of their DVD’s, their CD’s, books, tapes etc. etc. But please let me ask you this very important question: is it not true that we (who are called into minitry) were always supposed to be supported in ministry by freewill tithes and offerings and not by sales-techniques and Wallstreet promoters? So that’s why there has been such an infiltration of blind, proud profit-oriented leaders who got so big they promoted themselves and men helped them and promoted them, ... not God and not GOD'S ways. And thus the blind sheep followed and only a pitiful, pitiful few ever spoke up.

Then entered the prosperity gospel, which is not truly the gospel at all, ... and it all got worse. Again the sheep must have closed their Bible and blindly followed false teachers. It’s so clear in the inspired writings of Paul and Peter that if someone teaches "that gain is godliness" we are "to turn away from them." Instead, (and in many instances) these men became the most sought after teachers. And what’s worse: the people of God listened with itching ears and bought into the lie. ‘Give to my ministry and you will be blessed like Abraham.’ The people of God, I say, GAVE. But they gave so that these teachers could live in luxury beyond measure as they promoted various false teachings. So who is at fault? The false teacher? The people? The pastors who should warn and educate the people? You decide. It sure isn’t God to be blamed.
The add to all this the new, "now" 'in thing’ of the ‘seeker-friendly church' which (often) teaches of God’s love for all without repentance. As a matter of fact you can have any God you want and still make heaven. That’s what some of them are saying if you believe them instead of the teachings of the Bible. Please see these links:

And thru all this time there has been (for the most part) a tremendous lack of sound, balanced teaching and preaching on holiness, repentance, sanctification, the cross, and death to the self-life. There has also been a great lack of personal discipleship as many churches and pastors were taught over and over again to believe "bigger was somehow better." Thus, a great lack of true reverence and fear of the Lord while men and ministries became the object of glory and celebrity, and GOD was simply used as a means to achieve these ends. Who’s fault is it? You decide. I believe we all need to fall on our faces and weep and weep and weep in repentance over how we have allowed the deceivers and the self-promoters steal the church.

Then (perhaps worst of all) there came 'the laughing revival' when (in truth) we should have been crying and weeping over the backslidden church that was no longer salt and light in the world. Do I believe in holy laughter? Yes, in it’s place but not in a church service and I don’t believe in people barking like dogs, crowing like roosters, or roaring like lions. What happened to, “let everything be done decently and in order”? And now, what has the church come to? Todd Bentley? I am so horrified I can’t even speak of this as 10,000 a night fill this so-called 'revival meeting.' Just watch the clips of this "revival" for yourself and if you have any heart for the true faith as once delivered to the saints, you will surely weep. Just look at these links:

Now I know full well that God is well able to defend Himself but I CAN HARDLY ENDURE THE DECEPTION AND BORDERLINE BLASPHEMY I SEE IN THESE THINGS. Truly, any true child of God is literally in shock by this show that is being promoted by Steve Hill and GOD TV and others.
A number of years ago, God gave me the impression that His judgement has come to His house in the form of great deception. He is just and righteous and is blinding the eyes of people who love to follow the flesh and the pernicious ways of man instead of His holiness and the way of the Holy Spirit. Jesus warned us and the writings of Paul warn us again and again in scripture. Anyone who can read can find the warnings all over the Bible: "FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE TEACHERS AND FALSE BRETHREN AND FALSE CHRISTS WILL ARISE, ... and they will deceive many! If it were possible they would even deceive the very elect. Take heed! Jesus said it very clearly.
He said, ‘Behold, I have told you before’. Before it all started Jesus warned us. So then those that get deceived will be without excuse. And the question is what will you do? WHO WILL YOU FOLLOW? JESUS. ... OR? ARE YOU LISTENING ? and can you hear this at all ? ~ Lynne Young-Hummel

A BIG PART of the grace-thing is to learn how (and when) to simply let people "find their own way IN GROWING IN CHRIST."

Are there still pastors & bishops, evangelists, teachers, prophets, and the offices ORDAINED OF GOD to minister and exhort? Yes. Should we EXAMINE any declared prophetic word for *its spirit* and for any definite contradictions to the whole counsel of GOD'S WORD? of course we should. ... but should We be judgemental and be quick to declare them "false." ? definitely not. GOD STILL SPEAKS to and thru His servants. beware of persecuting them.

Seriously. Beware of persecuting, ... and "despise not prophecies."
