Your question concerning your husband stands apart from this blog (which is a bit of an inside-story with alot of background that I won't get into.)

To answer your question: You should petition your husband about what he wants you to do about him not liking the church that you are going to.
It is nice in a loving relationship to do what the other would have you do as long as what they are telling you to do is not in disobedience to God. Needless to say, no compromise to anyone is due when they are asking you to disobey the Lord.

Put all others ahead of you, but the Lord ahead of all others.

You guys seem a little full of yourselves. Especially since you are believers and all. I get a sense you believe you have a special relationship with Jesus that is above everyone else's. It is kinda of scary and a bit creepy.Not to mention un-scriptural. I hope you take no offense at my words. None was meant.

Since, at least 5 of the last 10 posts are directed against elitism, I challenge you to find a site (ANY SITE) on the internet that goes as far out of the way as this one in forwarding the notion of spiritual equality / equal inheritance. I really want you to take the challenge. Will you?

My guess is that you are an elitist and threatened by sites promoting equality. Perhaps you have seminary degrees and walk with nose held high and are upset that we teach equality because that would make us "special" to not have to endure the expense and rigor of the training you endured to arrive at the lofty perch from which you now judge. And what is your judgment? Simply that anyone that thinks equality in Christ is a reality is promoting that they are "special."

It is written:
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a farmer who went out at daybreak to hire workers for his vineyard.
After agreeing with the workers on a wage of one denarius, [the standard daily wage,] he sent them off to his vineyard.
Then, on going out at about nine in the morning, he saw more men standing around in the market-square doing nothing,

In other words ... they complained that these where 'special' enough to be 'equal.'

I hope I am wrong about you, and you are just unfamiliar with the message here. But I fear that your true colors are showing and you are burdened by elitism ... even projecting that I might be offended as your offensedness spewed forth. Provided that is the case, I urge you to shed the burden of elitism and embrace the specialness of equality, and in any case draw ever nearer to the Lord ... with haste as time is running out...

Why do you find it necessary to defend against elitism. "The lady doth protest to much" I have no seminary degree not that it would matter. Would Jesus have belonged to a cyber-church?

If anyone wants to discuss the topics here: perils of elitism / self-righteousness / haughtiness / disdain / pride or other delusions of grandeur warned about in scripture and causing regret and stumbling .. I will be happy to discuss it.

I'm not interested in debates about who is the most screwed up or other ad hominin sidetracks.

It is a big internet. Find what suits your tastes and go there. If the perils of elitism / self-righteousness and the like is not your thing ... drifting elsewhere is a near guarantee that you won't have to be bothered with this topic as you can avoid it. And there are near infinite places to roam online if ad hominin turf-wars are your thing.

Be well and keep drawing nearer still to the Lord Jesus. Or do whatever suits you best.

Thank you for this message, I believe the Lord used it in answer to my prayer. I have been reading the Letters from God and His Christ and have since turned to the Lord with a renewed passion. God is so good! I have however felt pretty alienated even by some friends of mine in my church since I have told them about this (the Letters and my need/want to obey God in the ways he was showing me through them). I began to long for fellowship with ones of your faith and to speak with the prophets of God, but your message has shown me that this is really kind of silly because they are God's messages not the messanger's. That it is Him with whom I should seek to fellowship with.

Anyway, I thank God for your faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
